Training

Who We Train

We offer training to male and female athletes that are 12-18 years of age.

Training Sessions are offered to those that take basketball seriously and want to dominate on the court. Come in ready to work hard so you can play hard, and win hard.

What to Expect

Training sessions are designed to improve athletic ability and strengthen mental toughness while simultaneously developing basketball IQ.

Throughout training, you will learn the KEY skills needed to dominate on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Throughout training, we will focus on the following:

  • Ball Handling
  • Offensive and Defensive Mastery
  • Shooting and Scoring
  • Basketball IQ

Our main goal with each session is to improve the players’ overall athletic ability, and allow them to analyze the sport of basketball in ways they never have previously. This is the perfect time for athletes who are looking to improve their game for the next season.

At the end of the day, our goal is to teach each player the skills they need to win.

All about the Coach

Eric (Tre) Woodson is the owner of the Alamo City Legends semi-pro basketball team. He is a former collegiate athlete and overseas player.

Before playing at the college level, Tre was a center for his high school (Glenda Dawson High School). While there, he was was recorded as taking the most charges in his school history. During his senior year, he was recognized as the defensive player of the year and received an award for honorable mention. Finishing the year strong, he became the top recruit for Huston-Tillotson University.

Prior to taking ownership of the Alamo City Legends, Tre spent 4 years attending basketball summer camp as a trainer to prepare young athletes for the upcoming school year. He then took on the opportunity to coach and mentor a boy’s AAU team. Once finished and while working on Lackland Air Force Base, Tre created and developed sports based programs for the on base youth center. Outside of work, he would spend his spare time working with those who wanted individualized training.

He has gone on to play for numerous ABA and other semi-pro teams, which has lead him to owning a team of his own. When he is not with the Legends, he is hosting training sessions for youths looking to improve their game.
